Let the good times roll. We’re back with our popular series “On the Line” with a fun upbeat band from Miami, Beach called Ex Norwegian. They’re sharing the new single of the new EP. It’s our first phone call from South Beach!

We keep getting lucky in August. We just got this great indie-rock album from the young boys, Androcles and the Lion, from Athens, Georgia. It’s beautiful and a pleasure that they squeezed us in for phone session.

ON THE LINE: Moon Palace
August has been a slow month for popular new music, but it’s been one of our best yet. Perhaps the most pleasantly surprising has been indie-soft rock act, Moon Palace. He gave us a call from Philadelphia to sing us his first song off his self-titled LP.

Hi folks, we’re really excited to get a new episode up featuring one of our hot bands for August, Shy Around Strangers. Think alternative post-rock with a nasty Emily Haines-style singer, and yes her name is also Emily.
Just a heads up; the recording is a little more scratchy than usual especially when Emily hits the high notes, so we apologize, but it’s not like we listen to these tracks for the clean sounds. We like it rough around here.
PRE-ORDER: the debut self-titled EP here!
We’re really happy with the excitement from bands and fans getting into this series, and now it’s our goal to make our series more global. This week On the Line, we connect with Brazil again with one our favorite Latin indie bands, The Sorry Shop.

This week for On the Line we finally got to work with one of our friendliest bands, We Are the Wilderness, who don’t live that far away from our office. They’re getting ready in the studio to launch their debut LP this Fall, but not without sparing some time to sing to us over the phone, of course.
Annndddd…We’re back! We had some scheduling issues this time around, but we’ve got a great new episode of our favorite new series, featuring Fleeting Circus. Based in Rio de Janeiro, these guys are adept at marketing and perform shows literally inside circuses. To try something new, they gave us the pleasure of performing “Underground” in a stripped down set while on the phone from Brazil.

ON THE LINE: The Grizzled Mighty
Since ONErpm is dead set on separating itself as more than just a digital distributor, we’re launching a series of a collaborative projects with our artists. The first of which begins with On the Line, a series inspired by soon-to-be-blues-prophet Willis Earl Beal, who used to like having people call him over the phone so he could perform for them that way.
In going with the phone recording theme, we asked Seattle-based rock-blues duo The Grizzled Mighty to be our first subject by performing a song off their debut self-titled album over the waves of Skype, “WallFlower.” We feel it provides another texture to hearing a song and there’s the pressure of getting it right in one take. We hope you enjoy the series and share it.
